One arrested, one still at large in child rape case
Jackson County Sheriff’s Office CrimeStoppers is seeking information on Juan Carlos Trejo Hernandez, 24, who is wanted for first-degree rape of a child, according to Capt. Steve Lillard of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Hernandez, an Hispanic male, is 5-foot, 6 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen in the Tucksegee area. Anyone with information on Hernandez is urged to call Sheriff’s Detective Celest Holloman at 586-1389 or the Jackson County CrimeStoppers hotline at 631-1125. A reward is being offered for information leading to his apprehension.
Lopez
Rafael Vazquez Lopez, 22, of Tuckasegee, has already been arrested in the case, which stems from a June 2-3 incident. Lopez was charged June 4 with two counts of felony first-degree rape of a child and is being held in the Jackson County Detention Center under a $1 million bond.
Lopez appeared in District Court June 15, and probable cause was found.
