Mustangs fall in regional finals

Smoky Mountain’s bid for a state 2-A basketball championship ended Saturday with a 57-53 loss to West Caldwell in the Western Reghional finals at Greensboro.

Tanner Cogill scored 15 points, and Joe Davis had 12.

Cogdill and Jackson Simmons were named to the all-tournament team.
