Mustangs top West

Smoky Mountain’s men’s basketball team defeated West Henderson 56-52 Tuesday in an Appalachian Athletic Conference game at West. Jackson Simmons scored 17 points for the Mustangs (7-0, 2-0). Will Carpenter and Al DeGraffenreid both added 11.

The Lady Mustangs (3-4, 0-2) lost 32-22. Katie Spiro scored eight points.
