SM softball wins, baseball loses

Smoky Mountain defeated Brevard 8-0 in softball Tuesday. Trish Brooks pitched a three-hitter and struck out 18 in the Western Athletic Conference opener.

The Mustang baseball team came up just short in the final inning and lost 11-10.
