State of emergency remains; schools closed Monday

A state of emergency remains in effect for Jackson County, but a 6 p.m. curfew had been lifted, according to Emergency Management Director Todd Dillard.

Jackson County Schools will be closed Monday. It will be an optional teacher workday.

Southwestern Community College also will be closed Monday.
